How we make money

Two ways, both labelled, neither of which changes a price ranking.

Affiliate commissions

Many of the store links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. It never changes the price you pay, and it never changes our rankings: comparison rows are sorted by price, and the store with the lowest price is marked as the lowest whether or not it pays us anything. We take part in affiliate programs run by retailers directly and through affiliate networks, and the list of programs changes as applications are approved. Links that pay us a commission are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored"; a store is shown whether or not it pays us.

Sponsored placements

Retailers and brands can buy clearly labelled slots: a banner, a featured rail, or a sponsored guide. Every one carries a visible “Sponsored” label, sponsored content is written to the same standards as the rest of the site, and none of it reorders a price comparison or alters a verdict.

What we do not do

We do not sell reader data. We do not accept payment for a place in a ranking, a “best” pick, or a verdict. We do not show ads that track you across the web.
